Violent storms have ripped across parts of the Canadian province of Ontario, damaging buildings, closing roads and killing one person.
Reports said 120 homes were evacuated in the city of Vaughan, which declared an emergency late on Thursday.
Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper said his government would work with local authorities to help deal with the cleanup operation.
The storms included funnel clouds which tore roofs off homes, reports said.
"When I looked in the sky, it was like confetti, all the debris," 36-year-old Vaughan resident Janet Zoro told the Toronto Star newspaper.
Many flights at Toronto's Pearson International Airport were cancelled or delayed because of the bad weather.
In the town of Durham, power lines supplying 60,000 people came down.
